Travel Tuesdays #3: Hadrian's Wall

This photo was taken in March 2005, on a trip to Hadrian's Wall in the north of England. I'm not certain exactly which stretch of the wall this is - it was before I started keeping good records of this kind of thing.

Even though I've now stood on the Great Wall of China, which is a truly mind-blowing experience, Hadrian's Wall still impresses me. And it's a darn sight easier to get to.

Very cool. When we were in Britain I wanted to see this, but never got the chance. Very nice shot. Thanks!

Lovely photo - we had a memorable trip to Hadrian's wall in 2006 (feb) when it was so foggy we couldn't see what was over the other side of the wall but it was still very impressive and I would love to return there

Beautiful shot. I'm always amazed by the skies in England. I've seen some impressive brooding skies, and it seems they've all come from England. I'd love to see Hadrian's Wall one day, but in the meantime will live vicariously through your lovely photo journals. :)

I would love to see that. Gives you goose-flesh to think about when it was built.
Beautiful photo!

BTW, I finally watched the last episode of the Dr, so now I know what you were talking about!

Been to the Great Wall of China, but never to Hadrian's Wall. Time to rectify the mistake?
