Something about having a new camera has made me take more close-up photos of plants in general, and flowers in particular, compared to when I was using my old camera. Maybe because I trust it more to get the picture I want. Here are a few of my favourites.
I particularly love the way that flowers, which always look so beautiful and pristine when you're a fair distance away, can look so very scruffy when you really zoom in - this primrose is a perfect example:

Nice snaps - this photography lark can be quite obessive. I know what you mean about the close up disappointment. There are times that I think that it's a great shot only to upload and then be disappointed. Keep practising and sharing, it's great to check out what you're up to.
Yay! Spring is here!
Oooo I really like the cherry blossom. Beautiful.
I cannot wait to get outdoors with my camera this spring to take photos of our tulips and lilies. We have the widest array of colors in each, stunning red lilies that I am just looking forward to capturing with my camera. These are so beautiful, and they've got me longing for spring. :D
Great pics! I'd love to see you getting even closer though.
I do like the pictures you take. I can even imagine one day mine will be that good!
My favorite is the first one!
