Tranquility

Boats

You've seen plenty of my pictures over time - but today I wanted to highlight one that my husband took, while I stayed in the tent hiding from the (many, many, many) midges that surrounded our camp that night.

I wish I'd taken it!

This picture really stood out as I started to sort through all our photos from the holiday (16GB in 2 weeks!). It seems to capture the peace and tranquility of the area, and makes me wish I could take one of those boats out for a quick row around the loch - well, apart from the midges, which somehow don't show up on the photo.

I'm sometimes reluctant to hand over the camera to my husband for fear of not getting the exact pictures I want. Selfish, I know. He laughs about it but I do feel bad, and I think this shot proves I should let him have his chance more often. (The problem may soon be solved, though, because we're thinking of buying a second camera body so we don't have to change the lenses every five minutes... then we can have one each!)

That is gorgeous! I would so love some of that tranquility right now...along with a pole and some bait; then we would have some good fish and chips dinner :)

Wow! Beautiful shot! I want to be sitting on the water somewhere, enjoying tranquility. Instead, I'm sitting in a cubicle surrounded by noisy people. Go figure.

The best ever photos I took on my camera turned out to be taken by Husband, damn my leaky brain and lack of camera skill.
