Baby Birds
The latest cause of excitement in my household is a darn sight smaller than the badgers. For the first year since putting them up, we have a pair of tits nesting in the bird box in our front garden. At the weekend, we went out to have a peek.
Ugly, but also cute. I love this time of year!

Just wonderful! I am so envious, especially at your ability to really see them. As you may know we lost a set of bluebirds and I am still in mourning.
Oh, that's lovely that you can peek in. Our chickadees have a very private little house and we can't see the babies at all until they can fly a bit.
Definitely agree with the ugly but cute comment!
How exciting! Our kids love peeking at the bluebirds in our boxes each year.
How exciting to have babies! So very ugly, yet terribly cute at the same time.
My heart just melted.

Awwww, keep us posted about their growth.
Oh my goodness Rachel, I love it! Little Chick would love to walk outside and see those birds. We made bird houses this year and a family moved in. She was so excited!
That is a great picture! Ahh spring :)
What a wonderful capture! All new and pink and ready for the world...
Nature is awesome, and you're so lucky to live so close to it all.
I think I've told you that before, but I am a little bit jealous, so you'll probably keep hearing it from me.
We actually have 2 next of birds and a nest/burrow of baby bunnies. My girls are loving it.
oh so very sweet =) looking forward to watching them grow!!
Aww. That's so neat!
So adorable and cute. A real awwwwwe moment. I just love your pictures.
So lovely!
Thank you SO much for visiting my blog today. Come back anytime. I read your profile and you sound like such an interesting and intelligent person. I look forward to visiting your blog. As to the baby birds....you're right...so ugly they're cute! We have newly hatched ones in one of the ferns hanging on our porch. We have them every spring. I love to watch them grow from day to day.
What sweet babies! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend!
It's like you live in the Garden of Eden!
I totally loved the 'ugly, but cute' remark. Yes, it's like babies, when they're born. They're all wrinkled up. How can they be beautiful? But hey, they're so cute. And so are these tits. Many thanks.
Greetings from London.
I think they're adorable. Will the same family return each year?
so cute! love it!
Just like most newborns, ugly cute!
Awwwwwww, adorable!
They are sweet...I think ever since I had kids I see nature as sweeter than ever before.
