About Me

This is the blog of Rachel Cotterill. I'm a freelance writer and photographer, computational linguistics PhD student, and someone who collects skills the way other people collect stamps - so far including dry-stone walling, taekwondo, sugarcraft, EFL teaching, rope-splicing, skiing & snowboarding, knitting & crochet, cooking, juggling, and coppicing... the list keeps growing!

I enjoy getting lost in as many different countries as possible, learning snippets of languages so I can ask for directions when that happens, and trying out as many new things as possible along the way.

My first novel, Rebellion (Chronicles of Charanthe #1), was published in October 2010.
